Is located in the eastern area of Morelos.

Cuautla is bordered by: Atlatlahucan, Ayala, Yautepec y Yecapixtla 

 

History

Cuautla Site:

Cuautla was theater of one of the fiercest battles of the  war  of independence, began on February 19 and ended on May 2nd, 1812.

The city was taken by the forces of the priest and general José María Morelos y Pavón, who defended the city against the Spanish General Felix Maria Calleja a few weeks before the need to withdraw from.

 

Mexican Revolution

The Maderista Revolutionary Movement of 1910, arrived in the region; headed by Professor Paul Torres Burgos who was initiated in March 1911 and to his early death, the troops elected Emiliano Zapata who fought with the idea that the government returned to them the land that belonged to them. During the Mexican Revolution CuWautla was the first city conquered by the forces of Emiliano Zapata. 

The corpse of Emiliano Zapata, was exhibited at Cuautla, Morelos. 

 

Spa Water

Agua Hedionda

The spa water is catalogd at the global level as one of the best in terms of its purity mineral and chemical composition. It springs naturally from a spring.The springs are born at the margins of a barranquilla insignificant
 that runs from east to west in the direction of the city by exploring some 4200 meters and leading to the river of Cuautla, in a place called "the Board". The place where the water is born, even though it is small plain, little grove of large, not why it ceases to be picturesque as are all the points of this fertile land hot, which boasts of a spring always continues
